Streamz is operated by Paragon Design ("we", "us", "our"), based in New Zealand. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ).

2. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address (or third-party authentication provider profile data such as your name and avatar).

Usage data

We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including watchlist additions, search queries, and feature usage. This data is used to improve the Service and personalise your experience.

Payment information

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by their privacy policy.

Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We may use analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns. We do not sell your data to advertisers.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service providers: Stripe (payments), Convex (database), Vercel (hosting) — only as necessary to operate the Service
• Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect our rights
• Affiliate partners: If you click an affiliate link, the destination platform may collect data about your visit according to their own policies. We do not share your personal information with affiliate partners.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Convex and Vercel. While we implement reasonable security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

Data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside New Zealand where our service providers operate. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place for any international data transfers.

6. Your Rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ), you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing (e.g. email notifications)

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

Anonymised, aggregate usage data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
